5 Février 2025 : FOCUS ON THE NEW EU COMMISSION AGENDA

The new EU Commission is at the start of its term, and the financial services sector awaits clarity on the priorities and policy directions that will shape the coming years. From advancing the Capital Markets Union (CMU) and developing a Savings and Investments Union (SIU) to addressing the competitiveness challenges of the EU’s financial services, our first digital event of 2025, Focus on the New EU Commission Agenda,  will explore the implications of the Commission’s ambitions and their implications for the industry.
 

Our keynote speaker, Alexandra Jour-Schroeder, Deputy Director General at DG FISMA, will outline the Commission’s vision for financial policy. This will be followed by a discussion featuring industry leaders, including Antoine Kremer, Head of European Affairs at the ABBL, ALFI, and ACA, and Natalie Westerbarkey, Managing Director of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), who will explore the imperatives of the CMU, SIU, and European competitiveness. To close this event, Adam Farkas, CEO of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME), will examine financial stability in an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape.
